I assume that besides the 18-year-old girls Jed still hits on, most the people reading this blog are probably done with their schoolin’, which means it’s time to get fat. Fat sitting at a desk all day, fat from having kids, fat from watching those around us have kids, and the list goes on.

That's phat Duane! I looked up the etymology of the word and discovered that 'phat' has been around since 1951: teen slang meaning "attractive, up to date." So, it could be possible that fat very soon could become phat.

I just think it's depressing Duane because the average weight gain during the holiday season is one pound. This may not seem like a lot, but most people don't shed the excess after the holidays are over, which contributes to obesity later in life. http://www.nichd.nih.gov/news/releases/holidayweightgain.cfm
