Indiana is finally here. Iron Man has come and gone. The Office season finale sits without comment. The Chili Peppers are disbanded. The Jazz are out. USA Today's pop blog has a subtitle eerily similar.
Come back to us Jedboy. You can have love and a blog! (or so I would think...)

Duane (and anyone else who cares) - Thanks for the shout out! Yes, it's been awhile since I've posted something. I know, I know...where are my loyalties anyway?? Well, let me explain:
(1) As you all know I am engaged, since I posted that tidbit of news in an earlier post. My engagement has taken up quite a bit of my time, (for which I'm kind of surprised) but it's important. Thus any free time seems to be dedicated to that.
(2)I've moved. Yes, I've been living in my parent's basement (Wayne's World) in PC ever since I graduated from BYU again. Living with the folks is great, if you don't mind feeling like a 14 year-old again. Anyway, that whole process has sucked up a lot of my time in the last month and will continue to suck up more time in the near future since we still haven't found a place to live yet and are currently living in a hotel. (No joke).
(3) My job has gotten more intense. Before January of this year I was a Project Manager for the City Manager. Although this position kept me busy, it has nothing on my new position as a budget analyst. (Especially during the budget season). In fact, I'm currently in a council meeting right now for the budget writing on my trusty laptop.
(4) And this is the most important. My fiance has moved to California! You would think this would free up my time, but it doesn't. She comes home on the weekends, (which is usually when I would blog) and since I don't see her during the week, we spend every waking moment together. Ah, cute.
okay, enough of that. Now, Duane, I'll comment on a couple of things that you brought up, because I still have an opinion even if you can't read it.
Indiana - This was the one movie this summer that I was really excited about. (well, maybe 'The Dark Knight' too). In fact, the day before I saw it I tried to bone up on my Indiana fix by watching 'Temple of Doom.' I quickly remembered how inferior that dreck is compared to the other two films, and turned it off. Then I went and saw 'Kingdom of the Crystal Stool.' ;) I echo my brother's sentiments that he now has a new third favorite in the series. What's with the CGI prairie dogs, snakes, and monkeys. L.A.M.E. However, it was still a lot of fun and I found myself entertained once I reluctantly realized there would be no cheesy 80s special effects that were sorely missed.
Iron Man - Apparently, this is the movie to beat this summer. Great reviews, great box-office receipts, great actors, yet I found myself underwhelmed. I think all the super hero movies are finally reaching the saturation point with me...
The Office - Awesome. Nuff said. Okay a little more...how can anyone watch any of the other sitcoms on TV? 'Two and a Half Men'? 'How I Met Your Mother'? Get real.
The Chili Peppers - I love these guys, and they're not really disbanded, just taking a break. This is one of the few rock bands left that can cater to younger audiences and still fill stadiums of 'older' fans.
Jazz - Hmm...they did exactly what I predicted they would do at the beginning of the season: (1) Have a great regular season. (2) Make it to the second round of the playoffs. (3) Exit semi-gracefully once they realized they couldn't hack it against a superior team. Trivia question: What is the worst trade the Memphis Grizzlies made in franchise history. Answer: Pao Gasol to the Lakers. Who would've seen that one coming?
Subtitle - Yes, I totally stole that from Pop Candy. I know, I should be sued or something. But isn't imitation the highest form of flattery??
Well, until next time ladies and gentlemen. It's been fun and don't be a stranger. Or at least I won't.
Wow. That was the longest comment. Ever. It does look like you have your priorities/loyalties in order, though. Love, family, then blog. Sounds just right.
